Coming to Utah

Hey, for anyone who reads this thing, I'm going to be in Utah from January1-7 and I'll love to see you if you're out there. Email me, post a message here or let me know on Facebook if you'll be in town and have some time to hang out and catch up. I think there'll be a shebang on one of those days down in Provo. If you're interested let me know and I'll get you the details when there are details to be gotten.

Half Way

2 down, 2 to go. The first one, Civil Procedure, wasn't so bad. I'd done a lot of practice essays from a book called Examples and Explanations, so I was ready to discuss in personam jurisdiction, subject matter jurisdiction, service of process, venue and anything else the professor decided to put on the exam. Unfortunately, there were some things that we almost glossed over in class that were on there, like jurisdiction over corporations with internet sites. Ugh. What a mess. It's a developing area of the law, so no one really knows how to handle that situation. Especially a first-year law student. But I finished it with some time to spare and I felt like I identified and covered the issues reasonably well. But only time will tell how I really did.

The next one was Constitutional Law. What a disaster. I felt like I didn't have a deep enough grasp of the issues to discuss them really thoroughly and consequentially I don't feel like I did very well. And I got a bad case of heartburn in the middle of the exam. No more fruit snacks during tests for me. I'm sticking to straight water from here on out. Anyway, it's over now and I can concentrate on the next two, Torts and Contracts. Wish me luck!

Potter Puppet Pals

Occasionally I find myself sticking other words to this. Like words from torts. Or just singing it outright. So I thought I'd share.

Too funny.

The Command Center

I thought my parents were crazy when they said they were going to move the dining room table up to my brother's old room. "Will it fit?" I thought. I'd already taken the room over as a study and the one, smaller desk was perfectly adequate. Or so I thought. Then finals rolled around. Now I am so glad that that table is there. It's my new command center. There's enough room to fit a hefty stack of books for each class and for me to have every needed book open simultaneously. I don't know what I'd do without it. Hooray for parents and their crazy furniture-moving ideas.

I know I put something up earlier, but this is too good. Look what I found on iTunes! HAHAHAHHHAAAA!

Eep!

I'm kind of like this with finals right now. Just cringing before the onslaught. But I'm working hard, so hopefully it won't be too bad.
We had a review in Civil Procedure today and I realized that I'm not as prepared as I'd like to be and consequentially not as relaxed about finals as I was when I got to class this morning. But I've got a week, so maybe I'll have everything worked out by the time finals actually arrive. Wish me luck!

I'm new at this

This is my first ever blog and post, so please be kind.

I don't really have anything to say at the moment... so I'll just put this up and figure out some more insightful things to add later.
